Did I teach this kid a horrible life lesson?

lol, this is a hard one. they r so impressionable at this age, but being 5 the child should know that its a game like the video game, and know that its wrong to hit people in everyday life, so i wouldnt worry too much honestly. if the parents are doing their job you shouldnt have anything to feel bad about, u were merely relating game to game and teaching the kid.
