at first i used a mini trampoline to get into the motion of jumping really high, and then i tried it on land and it really worked. Bend your knees making sure your legs are really firm, sort of use your toes a little when your jumping and spring up off the floor. when you come back down use the exact same motion again, but this time you have greater momentum. Also to get your legs as good as can get, really work on over-splits and that will make your splits look amazing and make them much much easier.
