How many people know the origin of Axe products?
I did not know this but when both my sons came home with letters from school letting parents know the most recent list of banned products and mentioning Axe by name, the stuff smells awful and the schools don't want the boys using it as it's giving people headaches, it turns out the product was first started in Europe for reasons too rude to mention and now they are running the Pathetic/Desperate ads trying to get the 14 year olds to run out and buy it therefore becoming popular with adult women who look suspiciously like hookers. It was specifically designed to cover up body odor as opposed to a personal hygiene product. Then I found out from one of my sons friends that if you open any Axe product in a certain drug store chain and the employees see you you are pretty much told to buy it. I always wondered why there were so many 'frat boy' commercials on for the stuff when the kids always said the stuff smelled terrible, Now we know............If you can't sell a product throw some sleazy broads in the commercials.
