Is my behavior normal?

I was molested when i was 16 by three guys who were quite popular in the school .A girl ( their friend) was right there and did nothing. Later she advised me not to tell anyone as people would look down on me(I was in a country where molested and raped people are treated as lowly) and my reputation would suffer. She also told me to take it as a sexual experience and it was not like I was raped. So I did not tell anyone anything ( even my parents or anyone). 5 years later I try to remain aloof from almost everyone, do not trust anyone, hate frat and sorority people. I do not what kind of behavior this is. Any views, any suggestions( without sending me to a psychiatrist) ?
